ok maybe this is stupid but this just hit me!

I think, the reason why Edward loves Bella so much, why she smells so good to him, why they're perfect for each other, blah blah blah, is that there was girl, it doesn't matter what her name was, but shewas beautiful, and Edward didn't love her, but he really liked her when he was human.
work with me here.

He really liked her, they may have even gone out once or twice, but never anything that serious. but then Edward got sick. He became a vampire, he turned his back on the human race and stayed as far away from humans as he could, with the exception of killing all the rapists and what not.

my theory is that this girl, is Bella's great grandmother (or however many greats she would be by now)

and there we have it.

Not much weirder than Anne Rice's books..... I have now read all the Vampire Chronicles except the last one and she has so much man-man action in there I was shocked and the Mayfair witches are all products of incest generstion to generation...........over and over.....ewwww........
