I don't know well, but someone told me or I read somewhere that if Stephenie was going to write sequels they would be called 'The Seeker' and 'The Soul' but again, I'm no completely sure.

Yeah, I'm not sure either.
I heard that from a friend...but it may be just a rumor.
Maybe in time Stephenie will post something about a sequel on her site? I sure hope so, I'm dying to know.

i hope she does, shes an awsome writter when it comes to forbiden love and the whole damsel in distress type of thing and the book is just amazing

I'd love seeing sequels but I do think she deserves a break.
After all the BD and MS drama, she needs to take some tome to relax :]

Didn't she say that she was going to write a sequel to The Host? I think she did. But the ending of the book just doesn't seem like it would have a sequel! It seems over. I can't see much else happening, unless she's going to write a sequel with different characters but in the same setting or the same characters at a different time.

I don't think the ending was 'closed'. It seems to me that Wanderer decided to stay with the humans. Together they could remove the souls and try to get all the humans back again. Or something. I dunno. But I think there are a lot of possibilities..

I agree with Maeve. There were a lot of loose ends.

Wanderer is now helping the humans. They have met another group of humans with a soul who has 'gone native'. The souls seem to be changing in the human environment. They are having to remove them from certain people and re-assign them. The seeker had become violent, which was not a soul trait.

I'd love to see more. I really like how SM addressed being human in this book - an interesting look at us, would we be better off if aliens took us over?

she had to leave a loop... most stories have a catch at the end.
some continue and some you dont, you just have to use youe thinker..
Steph just need a break.. we dont wont her over working, then we will for sure no get anythin more....

it wasn't such a surprise to find out what he was because he so obviously was something. But Jacob? Jacob, the only human I'd ever been able to relate to. . . . And he wasn't even human.What did this say about me? It said that there was something deeply wrong with me.
